Intel szykuje nowy układ graficzny. Ale to nie to co myślisz

Intel is preparing a new graphics system. The performance is surprising

It looks like Intel is changing its policy. More of their new processors will get powerful iGPUs that will be good for more than just displaying the desktop.

In 2022 Intel decided to enter the graphics card market, and the first generation was ARC Alchemist. It was made available both as systems for laptops, iGPU in processors and dedicated cards for desktop computers. The beginning was bumpy – especially the drivers – but the situation was brought under control.

Intel Arrow Lake-H will surprise us with a powerful iGPU

Now the Blues are preparing for the premiere of the family ARC Battlemagewhich is expected to offer significantly higher performance. We already got a foretaste of it as integrated graphics chips in the mobile series Intel Lunar Lake. However, it seems that this is not the end of the news.

In the results database GFXBench model has been located Intel ARC 140Ti.e. a new iGPU-based architecture Intel Xe-LPG+. In other words, an improved generation of ARC Alchemist. They are equipped with 128 computational units which corresponds to 8 Intel Xe cores. The system was at his disposal 16GB VRAM.

Intel is preparing a new graphics system. But it's not what you think

Although the comparison sample is small, it Intel ARC 140T performs better than Intel ARC 140V. These differences range from 17% to as much as 71%. It’s hard to say whether it’s a matter of optimization or definitely higher clock speeds. However, in some scenarios (Tessellation, ALU 2, Driver Overhead 2) it performs worse.

So far, it is not known what the Americans’ plans for the Intel ARC 140T are. The most likely scenario is that it will be an iGPU that will go to Intel Arrow Lake-H mobile processors (Core Ultra 200H).
