AMD and Intel They are currently fighting on equal terms in the computer processor market. Sometimes one or another manufacturer offers a more efficient model. It all depends on the specific budget and application. After all, you need a different CPU for gaming and a different one for work.

Intel equivalent of 3D V-Cache? Yes and no

According to Steam Statistics as many as 65.5% of players use Blue’s hands. However, Red processors are increasingly recommended on forums, Discords and other platforms. At least in the mid-high segment. Reason? Units with large and fast 3D V-Cache memorywhich provides a significant increase in FPS.

Roman “der8auer” Hartunga well-known German overclocker, engineer and CEO of… Thermal Grizzly interviewed with Florian Maislingertechnical communication manager in the company Intel. One of the topics was the latest series Intel Core Ultra 200S. Although it brought a huge drop in power consumption and lower temperatures, gaming performance has not improved – sometimes it is even worse.

So the question arose whether Intel was planning a move similar to AMD’s, so reaching for a large cache. Maislinger confirmed that such CPUs will appear next year. Unfortunately, they will not be intended for the consumer segment, but for the server segment. We are talking about representatives of the Xeon family.

The equivalent of 3D V-Cache in home Intel systems is to be expectedwhich is confirmed by earlier American patents, but no details were revealed. One thing is certain – since the Blues decided to use a modular structure based on many tiles, it is definitely easier.
