Test samples of the new processors have just arrived in the hands of manufacturers. This is bad news and suggests that the Intel Arrow Lake launch may be delayed.

Exactly one week ago, on March 14, 2024, a new processor debuted on the market – Intel Core i9-14900KS. We are talking about the flagship unit of this generation, which is equipped with: 24 cores and 32 threads with maximum clock speed up to 6.2 GHz. All this seasoned 36 MB L3 Cache and TDP up to 150 W.

It is officially the last consumer processor for socket-equipped motherboards LGA 1700. The next processors are expected to use the platforms LGA 1851. I'm talking about family, of course Intel Arrow Lake.

According to information so far Intel Arrow Lake it still has to offer the maximum 24 cores. The main change will be new architectures – Intel Lion Cove and Skymont and newer lithography. Plus we'll get it more efficient iGPU from the Xe-LPG seriesi.e. based on the Intel ARC Alchemist architecture.

Theoretically, Intel Arrow Lake is expected to debut at the end of the year. However, manufacturers of motherboards, laptops and ready-made computer sets claim that they have too little time for the necessary tests, R&D and corrections. Thus, some sources emphasize that the vision of the premiere in December is a VERY optimistic variant. Of course, as with all rumors, it is worth maintaining a certain amount of skepticism.
