The current generations of graphics cards debuted at the end of 2022. Everyone is already waiting for newer and more efficient systems. According to available information, AMD and NVIDIA they are to show the series consecutively Radeon RX 8000 and GeForce RTX 5000 already in January, at the fair CES 2025 in Las Vegas (USA).
The Intel ARC B580 and B570 models will appear at launch
However, there were rumors that Intel will overtake the competition and show the family ARC Battlemage this year. That’s for sure and what’s more we found out the exact dates. Blue’s new graphics cards will be announced in less than a week, December 3. The test embargo will end a moment later, December 12 and 13.
At the start, Intel plans to release two models – B580 and B570which are intended to tempt with a good price-performance ratio. The official specification has not been provided, but it is assumed in the future 20 Xe cores2 and 12 GB GDDDR6 and 18 Xe cores2. The cards are supposed to use the interface PCI Express 5.0 and classic power connectors.
This should be assumed to be similar to the Intel ARC Alchemist series at a later date we will also see cheaper and weaker models and probably more expensive but more efficient ones. There will be “Limited Edition” versions to choose from, i.e. Intel reference systems and proprietary models from third parties with factory OC.
One of the foreign stores claims that the Intel ARC B580 will cost $246, i.e approximately PLN 1,229 with Polish VAT. It would be an attractive price, especially compared to the offers of AMD and NVIDIA. However, it is worth holding off on final conclusions until we know the performance, power consumption and temperatures.
