In the first half of this year, 4,656 investment inspections were carried out under the Clean Air program. Of these, 67 resulted in termination of the contract, which means that the beneficiary must repay the entire amount of the subsidy. In turn, 573 inspections resulted in a reduction in subsidies, so it was necessary to return part of the support obtained. In total, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management wants to carry out approximately 7.5 thousand tests by the end of the year. control.

Importantly, the inspection does not have to take place at the investment site. WFOŚiGW (Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Economy) may call the beneficiaries to its headquarters. In such a case, it is necessary to provide all documents that will be verified. In the event of double failure (including failure to appear) or missing documentation, the inspection will result in termination of the contract.

Inspections can be carried out both before the payment of funds under the Clean Air program and up to 5 years after the investment is completed. Controllers also have great powers. In addition to checking documents, they can also freely move around the area, take measurements, conduct visual inspections, and take photos.
