If you run away, run away from Windows 11. The system is losing users
Windows 11 has not only not been gaining new users since the beginning of the year, but has even been losing them, according to the Statcounter report. An intensive promotional campaign does not help.
It might seem that if a computer has Windows, it only has the latest version eleven. In fact, the older Windows 10 will lose support on October 14, 2025, and features such as the recently promoted Copilot assistant encourage people to stay up to date. Only, these are only appearances.
Windows 11 is clearly struggling for some reason, and Statcounter statistics for March this year. are graphic proof of this. In just a month the number of users of this system decreased by 1.4 percentage points, ultimately allowing it to reach only 26.72 percent. market share. This is more than two and a half times smaller than its aging predecessor – Win 10.

And if that wasn't enough, there are still unsupported Win 8.1, Win 7 and Win XP in the background, recording a total of only 0.41 pp of user outflow and a total share of 3.87 percent.
Why don't people want Windows 11?
It's hard to give a clear answer to this question, but looking at the comments posted online, the Microsoft user community is very disappointed with Windows 11. In fact, the OS does not offer any spectacular solutions, but it clearly increases the hardware requirements, for example requiring a TPM module.
So far, there are no major problems with the compatibility of games and software with Win 10, so the list of arguments for switching is slim. Looking at the movements in Redmond, it seems that the manufacturer now wants artificial intelligence – Copilot – to become the driving force behind the new products. Question: is this enough?
