how to block an email address
On Gmail, it is possible to specifically block an email address, so that you no longer receive any message from it in a few clicks.
When you receive hundreds of messages per day in your Gmail inbox, it is possible that a few non-legitimate emails can enter it. These messages can be of various kinds: unwanted emails or unsolicited advertisements from a specific address, emails containing attempted scams, phishing or other types of fraud, inappropriate, offensive or unwanted content.
In this context, blocking an address then becomes necessary to avoid any problem. This is all the more the case when your address is considered vulnerable by sites like Have I Been Pwned? or by the breach detection tools of some VPNs.
But there are other reasons why it may be necessary to block an email address. You may want to end communication with a person or organization. Some want more generally to protect their privacy against unwanted solicitations or to reduce distractions that could impinge on productivity.
For this, Gmail has obviously integrated a function to block an email address in a few clicks, whether from a browser or from the Gmail mobile application.
