Garwolin. Znalazł kartę z kodem PIN. Grozi mu do 10 lat odsiadki

He went crazy at an ATM. A man from Garwolin faces 10 years in prison

An unlucky resident of Garwolin lost his ATM card along with the PIN attached to it. The finder tried to empty his account, but one thing prevented him from doing so.

Opportunity makes a thief

A 47-year-old resident of Garwolin found a wallet and a bank card with a PIN written on it. As tvn24 reported, instead of returning the lost item to its rightful owner, the man decided to put his supposedly clever plan into action and withdraw money from his account using an ATM. After all, he had all the available tools with him.

A resident of Garwolin who lost his wallet quickly realized that it was gone. He immediately reported this unpleasant fact to the police and immediately blocked the card in his bank. This saved him from having his account stripped to zero.

It turned out that the person who found it had tried to withdraw money from ATMs twice. This would have been possible because the wallet also contained a written PIN. However, the perpetrator did not achieve his intended goal.

– Deputy Commissioner Małgorzata Pychner from the Garwolin police said in a statement.

This time it’s a story with a happy ending. The perpetrator was caught on ATM surveillance cameras and based on the recordings, the police established his identity. Thanks to this, they quickly arrested the 47-year-old resident, who was charged with attempted burglary. According to the current penal code, this type of crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
