He was pushing chargers into his backpack. The resident of Łódź faces 5 years in prison

He had the business sense, but he didn’t have the goods

The Widzew police arrested a 54-year-old man who will be charged with numerous shopliftings. After January 15, the police received a number of reports regarding theft, and the store CCTV footage they viewed allowed them to identify a suspect. On January 29, detectives, while observing one of the stores on Augustów Street, noticed a man whose image matched the description of the perpetrator.

The man entered the store and began to hide power tool chargers and chemical products inside his backpack. He had no idea he was doing it in front of the officers. However, when he wanted to leave the sales floor without paying for the goods, he was very surprised.

He didn’t explain himself, he knew that any explanations would only depress him further

The thief mainly stole power tool chargers, food and chemical products, which he then sold – making it an additional source of income. At this moment, the value of the stolen property has been estimated at over PLN 15,000, and the suspect is liable to imprisonment for up to 5 years.
