He took money from the ATM. When they caught him, he demanded something else
Police officers from the Szamotuły police station solved the mystery of the disappearance of money from an ATM. The injured party paid out, accidentally left it and before he looked back, all trace of the banknotes had disappeared.
The injured man intended to withdraw money from an ATM in Szamotuły. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected problem with the payment of the specified amount, which caused him to ultimately abandon the transaction. However, when he got into the car, he received a message in the banking application that PLN 800 had been withdrawn from his account. The man realized that the ATM had managed to withdraw cash, but he had not waited long enough. So he returned to collect the sum due to him. But what turned out to be? The money seemed to evaporate. There is no trace of them left.
The confused man reported the matter to the police. The officers began to investigate the case and eventually found out that the money was taken by a 76-year-old resident of Szamotuły. The accused confessed to everything and returned the money taken. But he didn’t want to be a loss. During the conversation with the police, he clearly suggested that he was entitled to it “found”. However, it turned out that he was not entitled to “find” because he had not fulfilled the appropriate obligations.
So what should we do when we find money?
The police reminds that if money is found, if we do not know the person authorized to collect it or we do not know his whereabouts, it should be immediately returned to the appropriate starosta. To demand a finding, you must first fulfill this obligation, otherwise, instead of receiving profits, you may suffer legal consequences.
