Have you received such a text message? React, not only your PESEL number is at risk
Fraudsters have developed a new way to steal our data. Beware of text messages suggesting that you can get additional funds to improve your financial situation. There is a trap in this message.
SMS in which you will check available withdrawals after PESEL
Unfortunately, this is another carefully planned fraud. The message contained in the SMS suggests the possibility of receiving financial assistance. But to find out what we are entitled to this help for and to receive details on this matter, you must provide your PESEL number. The link attached to the message redirects us to a fake website. There you need to provide even more data. All this to collect the funds granted to “overcome difficult life situations”.
And this is how our data falls straight into the hands of fraudsters. Or rather, we must admit that we serve it to them ourselves, as if on a platter.
