Google Maps will soon surprise us. We will start removing it massively
Google Maps: reset and everything is clear
Google Maps is an app that relies heavily on community feedback. Thanks to this, it is able to display real-time information about accidents, threats and various types of road problems. However, until now, users were not able to manage reports after they were published, even if something they reported turned out to be a mistake or became outdated. However, everything indicates that this will eventually change. Google Maps may soon add an option to delete incident reports. And with just one click.
Instead of tedious editing, one click
Android Authority has discovered a hidden setting that will allow users to delete all active entries associated with their account. This includes alerts about incidents, road conditions, public transport delays and other travel-related issues. Instead of tedious editing of individual entries, users will be able to use the full reset option.
Currently, Google Maps does not allow users to manually delete reported incidents. Reports only disappear when other users confirm or reject them. This can be frustrating, especially when someone reports something by mistake. And it’s easy to touch incorrectly while driving and display a false alert. The new option will help solve this problem, as well as improve control over shared navigation data. It will be available in the Location and Privacy section.
