GIGABYTE is preparing eight new LGA 1851 motherboards
It looks like Blue's partners are ready to launch new processors. We learned about GIGABYTE's plans for motherboards with the LGA 1851 socket.
Later this year, in the fourth quarter, we will see the family Intel Arrow Lake-S. We are talking about a new generation of processors for desktop computers, which will be based on architectures Intel Lion Cove and Skymont. It is anticipated here maximum 24 cores and 24 threads with declared TDP up to 125 W
The new features will include: more PCI Express 5.0 lanes
Of course, traditionally for Blues this means the need to purchase new motherboards. Platforms with chipsets will hit the market Intel 800 and a socket LGA 1851. As it happens, the plans of one of the large producers, a company, have already come to light GIGABYTE.
The Iranian editorial office of Faceit published promotional materials from the Taiwanese, which reveal that at launch we will see eight GIGABYTE motherboards. All of them are expensive, top-of-the-line platforms Intel Z890, aimed at overclocking enthusiasts and fans. Most of them are supposed to belong to the gaming series AORUS.

It attracts attention note AI TOP, which clearly fits into the trend of artificial intelligence. The question is how, since the GPU and/or CPU are responsible for the calculations, and not the board? This is probably not just the manufacturer's way of positioning a model without RGB LED and gaming style, because the AORUS series also has such a suffix.
Of course, at this stage the exact specification remains a secret, we will probably find out more at the fair Computex 2024. From the leaks so far, we only know about: WiFi 7 and 20 PCI Express 5.0 lanes.
