The series “Dune: Prophecy” is a production inspired by the novel “The Lady of Dune”., written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. There has been a lot of talk about this production and it must be admitted that expectations are high. Filming started two years ago and ended at the end of last year. The series is intended to be a prequel to the cinema films.
“Dune: Prophecy” – what is the series about?
The action of the series takes place 10,000 years before the events known from the film “Dune”. The plot revolves around the fate of the sisters Valya (played by the brilliant Jessica Barden) and Tuli Harkonnenthat fight against threats to the human species. For this purpose, they create a famous congregation called Benne Gesserit.
Will the creators manage to repeat the commercial success of Denis Villeneuve's cinematic diptych? Is a megahit like “Game of Thrones” coming? We keep our fingers crossed for success and we can't wait for the fall.
