Genesis presents the Thor 230 TKL. This is an affordable mechanical keyboard

The thing about mechanical keyboards is that they are usually expensive, loud and annoying. In the case of Thor 230 TKL, Genesis offers a slightly different approach to mechanics, as evidenced by the additional foam between the PCB and the keyboard board, which absorbs vibrations and dampens sounds. The manufacturer claims that the mentioned model is up to 20% quieter compared to standard mechanical keyboards on the market.

Genesis introduces an affordable mechanical keyboard

The new Genesis keyboard will be available in stores today. The Thor 230 TKL keyboard is offered in several variants with different types of switches. The player can choose Outemu Red linear or Outemu Brown touch switches, which are distinguished by high dynamics, smooth movement and durability of 50 million clicks. However, with individual preferences in mind, GENESIS Thor 230 TKL has 3-pin hot swap sockets implemented. They enable easy and quick replacement with any microswitch from companies such as Outemu, Akko or KTT. The entire process will be facilitated by the metal switch puller included in the set.

The keycaps in GENESIS Thor 230 TKL are made of ABS plastic using Double Injection technology. This not only means excellent readability of characters and high resistance to abrasion of legends during intensive use, but also ensures the best possible experience of key backlighting.

Importantly, Genesis Thor 230 TKL allows connection not only to a computer, but also to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X consoles | S, Xbox One X | S without the need for additional adapters.

GENESIS Thor 230 TKL goes on sale on February 29, 2024 in several color variants: white, black and black with colored keycaps. The keyboard debuts at the recommended retail price of PLN 179. Additionally, there will also be a Thor 230 TKL Lite version (with limited backlight functions), priced at PLN 149.
