It has long been known that a new generation of graphics cards will hit the market in the coming months. We are talking about NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 models. Initially, it was said that the first, most powerful models would go on sale in 2024. However, recent information suggested that the presentation will take place at CES 2025, which will be held in Las Vegas in January. Meanwhile, one of the most famous and respected sources in the industry claims that the premiere will take place soon.

When will the GeForce RTX 50 premiere?

I’m talking about @kopite7kimi, whom you should recognize from many of our texts. He has proven his credibility many times. He is also often the first to inform about many issues related to the graphics card market. This time he published a rather laconic and at the same time interesting entry on Twitter, in which he announced that we will soon see new GeForce RTX 50 Blackwell graphics cards.

Question – what does soon mean? For some people it may be a period of 2 months, so the premiere in January would definitely fit into this date. For others, it’s more of a matter of a month, so it would mean that the new models will hit store shelves this year. I would rather lean towards the latter version. After all, rumors about the presentation in January have been circulating for a long time, so announcing that the premiere will take place soon would not make the slightest sense. In my opinion, @kopite7kimi suggests that the cards will debut later this year.

However, it should be emphasized that the renowned website Igor’s Lab has a different opinion. In their opinion, nothing has changed and NVIDIA will only show new cards in Las Vegas. They also added that the Green partners have only just received engineering units with which they will work on new structures, and this will take some time. At the same time, this could mean even more rumors in the coming days and weeks.

It is also worth remembering that NVIDIA has no reason to rush the release of new graphics cards. The competition doesn’t seem to have anything to offer that would pose a threat to the Greens. Intel is still doing mediocre, and AMD is partially abandoning this generation, focusing on low- and mid-range models. Therefore, the Greens can dictate terms.
