Game Awards 2024. The best computer game of the year selected
The Game Awards 2024, the so-called Oscars of the computer games industry for this year, have been awarded. There were many surprises, including the main prize for the best game of the year.

Astro Bot game of the year
She was the winner of The Game Awards Astro Bot game, winning the main award for the best game of the year. This title left behind such hits as Final Fantasy 7 (Rebirth), Black Myth: Wukong and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. In addition to the main prize of the evening, Astro Bot took home three other statuettes: for the best family game, adventure game and best game implementation.
The creators of the Balatro game also had reasons to be happy, as it won the award for the best mobile game. The audience award went to Black Myth: Wukong.
The biggest disappointment was Final Fantasy VII. Despite as many as 7 nominations, this hit did not receive any award.
The Game Awards is a major event in the computer games industry. The previous edition of the awards was watched over 118 million times on streaming.
