Fujifilm X100VI – a new retro-style camera debuts
Fulifilm X100VI is a new retro-style camera, tempting users with its unusual design. Is it going to be a hit?
Is traditional photography really dying out? Despite numerous voices that in today’s world dominated by smartphones, there is no place for classic cameras, the company Fujifilm she took on the role of a rebel. The Japanese manufacturer has just presented its new rangefinder camera, Fujifilm X100VI.
Fujifilm X100VI – an advanced retro-style camera
What is worth emphasizing at the beginning is that the new product in the Fujifilm portfolio is not a system camera, but rather advanced compact with a non-interchangeable prime lens. However, in many respects it draws on the top representative of the Fuji X line, the Fujifilm X-T5.
On board the Fujifilm X100VI we find X-Trans matrix in size APS-C about resolution 40.2 Mpix. It was paired with an image processing processor X-Processor 5 and 23 mm fixed focal length lens (35mm full frame equivalent) by aperture f/2.0.
As the manufacturer promises, such a set is to guarantee excellent image quality while maintaining a very traditional approach to photography, similar to analog cameras. The latter is to be helped by, among others: presence optical viewfinder and exposure control using dedicated knobs. However, if someone prefers this way of working, we still have an electronic viewfinder at our disposal 3″ tiltable display
Fujifilm also deals with video recording in a resolution of up to 6.2K. We will also find an advanced phase detection autofocus system here, 6-step optical image stabilization at the sensor level and a set of valued film simulations for which the Japanese manufacturer’s cameras are known.
All this goodness was enclosed in a housing that effectively imitates analog cameras from half a century ago. Without a doubt, the design will be one of the main arguments that will convince people to buy the Fujifilm X100VI.
Fujifilm X100VI – price
Unfortunately, such pleasure will not be cheap. The suggested price of the camera is PLN 8,499, i.e. how much you have to pay, among others for the previously mentioned Fujifilm X-T5. However, I am convinced that despite this, the new product from the Japanese manufacturer will win the hearts of fans around the world.
