Fujifilm X-T50 – a new mirrorless camera that is almost catching up with smartphones
Fujifilm X-T50 is a new mirrorless camera in the manufacturer's offer. This is one of the cheapest models on the market with a 40 Mpix matrix.
Business Fujifilm presented her new one mirrorless camera from the mid-segment. Model Fujifilm XT-50 Traditionally for the series, it has a characteristic appearance, reminiscent of old analog SLR cameras. However, there are some important new features inside.
Fujifilm XT-50 – record resolution in a mid-range body
First of all, Fujifilm XT-50 has a new matrix. We are dealing here with a sensor X-Trans CMOS 5 HR in size APS-C. Its resolution is 40.2 Mpix. Considering that smartphones are currently dominated by 50 Mpix cameras, you can joke that the new mirrorless camera has finally started to catch up with the mobile competition. In practice, however, there is no comparison here – over 40 million pixels in the case of such a large sensor is a dizzying value, which should ensure excellent reproduction of details.
The layout will help with the latter X-Processor 5. This one is not only twice as fast as its predecessor, but also has built-in artificial intelligence technology (like everything nowadays) and natively supports the standard HEIF. Photographers will also appreciate the new one matrix stabilization system about the declared effectiveness of the order 7eV.
The list of new features on board the Fujifilm XT-50 is really long. In addition to the purely hardware novelties mentioned above, we will also find here, among others: improved autofocus algorithm, native support for ISO 125 sensitivity and significantly expanded video functions. The latter include, among others: F-Log2 mode support and possibility of recording in 6.2K resolution at 30 fps.
The price of the new body, which is expected to start on the American market from $1,399. We don't know yet how much we will pay in Poland, but we should expect the amount to be around PLN 7,000.
Fujinon 16-50 f/2.8-4.8 – new kit lens
It is also worth mentioning that together with the XT-50, the Japanese introduced a new kit lens to their offer. Fujinon XF16-50 mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR is to be the successor to the highly valued 18-55 mm f/2.8-4.0 R LM OIS model. Compared to its predecessor, the new model will offer: Wider maximum viewing angle, higher resolution ability and sealed structure. Many people will appreciate it too shorter minimum focusing distance and application internal zoom, thanks to which the glass does not change its size during use.
