Fractal North XL, a huge wooden casing
Do you need a solid, roomy and airy case? Do you care about good materials and an elegant appearance? Then Fractal has something for you!
You can find a lot in stores computer cases in various sizes, colors and prices. However, most of them come from China, and few manufacturers decide to design their own structures. The exceptions include a Swedish company Fractalwhich has just expanded its portfolio.
The Fractal North XL housing is available in white and black
Fractal North XL is a 36% enlarged variant of the model released at the end of 2022. This is a premium housing with a special feature: front panel made of wood and leather accents.
Fractal North XL is a type of housing Full Tower with dimensions of 509 x 240 x 503 millimeters and a weight of approximately 9.5 kilograms. We can fit it inside E-ATX, ATX, mATX or mITX motherboardsCPU coolers up to 185 millimeters high, graphics cards up to 413 millimeters long and power supplies up to 290 millimeters long. Two 3.5″ bays or four 2.5″ slots are provided for data carriers.
In terms of ventilation, it will come in here up to seven fans – three 140/120 mm at the front, two 180/140 mm or three 120 mm at the top and one 140/120 mm at the rear. The Mesh variant has the option of installing two additional fans on the side. From the factory we get three Fractal Aspect 140 mm units. Liquid cooling fans will be able to fit 420-mm radiators here.
The I/O panel is located at the top, closer to the front edge. He is hosting two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C, two audio connectors, Power button and a diode indicating computer operation.
Fractal North XL will be available in stores in the coming weeks. There are two color versions to choose from – black and white, and two variants – mesh side panel and tempered glass window. All models are priced at $169.99, i.e approximately PLN 675. The casing has already been sent to the editorial office and is being tested.
