Forget about CDs. Samsung has something much better
It’s not just books that shouldn’t be judged by their covers. Samsung’s new flash drives will provide large capacity and performance in a miniature size.
For several years now, all new computer sets and laptops have not had optical drives. The exceptions are individual orders for public institutions. That is why CDs and DVDs are a thing of the pastand currently data is transferred mainly via the Internet, external drives and pendrives.
The pre-sale price is around PLN 245
And it so happens that Samsung plans to expand its offer. On the Chinese chaebol website, new pendrives have appeared, which tempt with large capacity and high efficiency. They are advertised as “perfect for 4K”.
The new device from the Koreans measures 33.7 x 15.9 x 6.4 millimeters and weighs just 3.4 grams. Among the available capacities, we are talking about 64, 128, 256 and 512GB. There is a black and blue color version to choose from, named respectively Mystic Black and Aurora Blue. The whole thing uses the interface USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C.
The declared performance is up to 300 MB/s for reading in the case of the 64 GB variant and up to 400 MB/s for other versions. The manufacturer boasts that the 512 GB model can store about 170,251 photos or 24 hours of 4K video recording.
The new Samsung pendrives are now available for pre-order in China for 449 renminbi (approx. 245 PLN) for 512 GB. There is currently no information about the release date and suggested prices in Poland. Of course, it should be remembered that the competition is already offering larger and more efficient models.
