Xiaomi has officially lifted the veil on its Portable Electric Air Compressor 2, an ultra-practical electric pump for inflating the tires of all types of vehicles. This new generation benefits from a better inflation speed, and a more intelligent system for Xiaomi electric scooters.
Xiaomi’s first electric pumps particularly convinced the editorial staff. It has rarely been so easy to inflate the tires of your electric bike or even your car. In short, it is a convincing, practical and definitely useful accessory for your daily life.
Good news: Xiaomi has just launched a brand new generation of electric pump, called Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2. What new features are we entitled to? The Chinese firm first mentions a brand new mode specially designed for electric scooters.
A new mode for electric scooters
It is in particular a question of a “quick and easy to attach adapter“, we can read in the press release sent to the editorial staff, but also a verification of the “tire pressure of any Xiaomi Electric Scooter“. A more than welcome function which allows you to see what pressure your tires are at.
In total, six inflation modes coexist:
- Manual
- Bike
- Motorbike
- Car
- Electric scooter
- Ball
To avoid any risk of overinflation, each of these modes is predefined with an inflation limit. Please note that the maximum pressure provided by the Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 does not change: 150 PSI. On the other hand, the inflation speed – or the inflation speed – increases by 25% compared to the previous model.
As on previous versions, a small flashlight is integrated into the case to provide sufficient light in dark places. It is a very practical little accessory whatever the situation, allowing you to easily clip the pump nozzle into place.
Rechargeable in 3 hours via a USB-C port, the Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 weighs a total of 190 grams and has the following dimensions: 123 x 75.5 x 45.8 mm. It would also have been interesting if Xiaomi reduced the decibel level emitted by its accessory, which is relatively noisy in use.

Here, the brand promises less than 80 dB at 1 meter distance, as on previous versions. The 2000 mAh battery is finally represented by 4 bars displayed on the pump screen.
