Empik with a new service. It will have fun with a parcel locker
Empik, one of the leaders on the Polish market in terms of multi-channel sales, is introducing the possibility of collecting products from outside its own offer in its brick-and-mortar stores. This refers to items purchased from other sellers who use the Empik sales platform.
Collection of orders at Empik stores has enjoyed great interest from customers for years. Currently as many as 70% of orders placed on Empik.comincluding our own offer, are collected in one of over 350 stores throughout Poland. Customers prefer this form of delivery not only because of its convenience and availability, but also its ecological nature. As many as 90% of orders collected in stores reach customers without additional packaging, which significantly reduces the use of materials such as foil and cardboard.
Extending the service to third-party sellers
Until now, the option of collection in the showroom was available only for orders including Empik’s own offer. Now the company has gone a step further by introducing this option also for marketplace orderswhich is a significant improvement in the offer. Thanks to this, external sellers who operate on the Empik.com platform can offer their customers an even better shopping experience, and their products are even more easily accessible.
Since we opened Empik.com to external sellers, our priority has been to provide the customer with a consistent shopping experience. The ability to collect orders from Empik marketplace in brick-and-mortar stores is another milestone for us, and the successful pilot only confirmed that this is exactly what customers expect. Sellers also benefit from this – stores whose offer is covered by the new service record up to 100% increase in sales. Today we can say that we are the only truly omnichannel marketplace in Poland and we have further ambitious plans in this area.
– explained Mirek Drab, Marketplace Director at Empik
