Elon Musk is suing OpenAI. Sam Altman got it

Elon Musk filed a motion in court to stop the process of transforming Open AI from a non-profit organization into a company operating to make profits.

Musk was one of the first investors who made possible the development of OpenAI with their donations. However, he withdrew from the company in 2018. The American billionaire had already sued the creator of ChatGPT after the company decided to create an open-source AI tool.

Now, as Musk writes in the lawsuit wants to “defend what is left of the company’s non-profit nature.”

Musk’s accusations focus on the OpenAI deal with Microsoft, under which the companies seek global domination of the artificial intelligence market, contrary to the company’s current mission. The document also touched upon the company’s president, Sam Altmanwho, according to Musk, has a personal interest in OpenAI’s contracts with companies such as Stripe, Rain AI and Helion Energy, in which Altman is said to have private shares.

In response to Musk’s accusations, an OpenAI representative commented:

This is Elon’s fourth attempt and it continues to revolve around the same, baseless accusations.
