Dragon's Dogma 2. Players are dissatisfied, but they buy it anyway

It seems players don't learn from their mistakes. Even though they receive an unfinished and expensive product, they buy it without hesitation.

At the end of last month, or more precisely on March 22, 2024, the long-awaited title debuted on the market, i.e. Dragon's Dogma 2. We're talking about an open-world RPG game from a Japanese studio CAPCOM. It is available on both PC and Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X consoles.

Players are still hanging dogs in Dragon's Dogma 2

Despite 12 years of waiting players did not receive a refined product at all – a lot of bugs, terrible optimization and a lot of micropayments. The dissatisfaction is confirmed by the ratings on the Steam platform, where the average opinion is: “Mixed”. But The game is still selling like hot cakes…

In the official press release of CAPCOM we can read that in Dragon's Dogma 2 sold 2.5 million copies in less than two weeks after its release all over the world. This is a combined result that includes both PC and console releases.

Thus, total sales of the series exceeded 10 million units. The Japanese are still working on their latest title, and a moment ago (March 29) players received an update that fixed many minor and major bugs and added a few QoL changes (new game, previous apartment).
