Taiwanese company G.SKILLknown mainly for the most efficient RAM modules, officially announced the tenth edition of the prestigious competition OC World Cup 2026. This year’s edition of the competition attracts attention not only with the importance of the event, but also with a prize pool of up to $40,000, of which as much as $10,000 will go to the first place winner.
Qualifications will take place on Intel platforms
We are talking about one of the most recognizable and appreciated events in the world of extreme overclocking. The best enthusiasts from around the world compete in it every year the final is played live during Computex in Taipei. In 2026, the decisive battles will again take place at the stand G.SKILLwhere the players will be use liquid nitrogen cooling, which allows you to reach temperatures of -196°C.
The competition is divided into three stages. Everything will start with online qualificationswhich will last from February 15 to March 23, 2026. The top nine will advance to the stage live eliminationsscheduled for June 2-4, a the grand finale will take place on June 5.
Online qualifications will be conducted on the HWBOT platform. Participants will need to use G.SKILL DDR5 modules and Intel Z790 or Z890 platforms. The tests will include, among others: maximum memory clock speeds and popular benchmarks such as 7-zip, PYPrime 32B, SuperPi 32M or Y-Cruncher 2.5B.
