These models were produced in March and April 2023. According to statistics, approximately 69,000 pieces of these speakers were sold via Amazon in the USA and 9,764 pieces in Canada.
However, this is not the whole picture, because these speakers were in circulation, for example, on Amazon UK and even Allegro in Poland. In fact, they appeared 33 recorded cases of overheating of lithium-ion batteries in Anker speakers. In most cases it showed up smoke and small fireBut in one situation, the user suffered a minor burn.
If you have one of the above-mentioned models, the manufacturer encourages you to check its serial number on a special website to find out whether you are at risk. If the serial number does not consist of 16 characters, it means that everything is OK with the speaker. Otherwise, Anker recommends turning off your device immediatelyafter which you should expect contact from the company’s technical support. The final step will be to dispose of the device in a specially designated facility.
