Windows 11 24H2 does not like Ubisoft
Microsoft has suspended Windows 11 24/7 updates on computers that have certain Ubisoft games installed. The problem mainly concerns Star Wars Outlaws and titles from the Assassin’s Creed series. After installing a Windows update, these games kicked Windows users back to the system.
Microsoft confirmed the existence of the problem and has paused the update for people with the above titles on disk. The Redmond giant is currently working with Ubisoft to release a patch. Microsoft also recommends not to install the Windows 11 24H2 update manually.
Here is the full list of problematic games:
– Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
– Assassin’s Creed Origins
– Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
– Star Wars Outlaws
– Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Microsoft warns that after installing Windows 11 24H2, these games may become unresponsive during startup, loading screens, or during gameplay. In some cases, users will experience a black screen.
Regarding Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft has released a temporary solution, but players may still experience performance issues despite this.
