Do you have an account at Pekao? The long-awaited novelty is already here
Bank Pekao has introduced a long-awaited function to its PeoPay application – BLIK transfer request. From now on, settlements with friends, e.g. for going to a restaurant or making collections, are easier and faster.
About the fact that Pekao bank intends to introduce Request for a BLIK transfer, we wrote at the end of December. At that time, however, this was unofficial information and it was not known how long the bank’s customers would have to wait until this increasingly popular solution appeared in PeoPay. But they finally got there.
Requesting a BLIK transfer is the easiest way to quickly transfer money to friends – for example within bill settlement in a restaurant or drops for a joint gift or a weekend trip. The solution has already gained popularity in several other banks and is now available in Pekao.
Request for a BLIK transfer in PeoPay
Just send a transfer request in the PeoPay application to a person from your contacts list on your phone. Once your friend accepts it, the money will be transferred to the sender’s account in real time. Customers can already use the solution from the age of 13.
As Pekao emphasizes, the BLIK transfer request function not only allows you to organize collections, but also makes it possible tracking the progress of the collection on an ongoing basis: who made the transfer and who will need to be reminded about the overdue transfer.
Using the new service and sending a transfer request to your phone is very simple – log in to the i go to the “Payments” tab, click “Transfer request” and select the recipient from your contacts list. Friends who use BLIK and have this function enabled automatically appear on the list. Then we enter the amount and title of the settlemente.g. “pizza” or “gift” and press “Send”.
The next step is up to the bank, which sends a notification to the recipient’s phone about the transfer request sent to him. Your friend has 72 hours to accept the request in his/her application – and after its implementation, the money will immediately be transferred to the account of the person who sent the transfer request. Settlements can be made between customers of different banksthat provide this service. The service is available in ING, mBank, Millenium and VeloBankSantander Bank also plans to do so.
By sending a transfer request in PeoPay, the user can also: select a contact group, split the bill for equal amounts or specify their amount for individual recipients. The sender may also include himself in the division of expenses.
The service is free. You can transfer money in one transfer request up to PLN 500, and up to PLN 1,000 per day. You can send up to 30 transfer requests each day. This limit can be used to send one request to 30 people or divided into smaller requests.
The new service is implemented after logging in to the mobile application. It will not be possible to send a request to people who do not use the “BLIK phone transfer” service. This guarantees that we will receive and transfer the money only to a person known to us, whose identity has been verified by the bank. To be able to receive transfers to your BLIK phone, you only need to have a registered number in the service.
