Do you buy from Decathlon? Beware, urgent warning from a government agency
It has long been known that we like promotions. Especially the good ones. Cybercriminals also know this and have just invented a new fraud scheme.
Cybercriminals targeted customers of the popular Decathlon sports store. They post fake ads on Facebook impersonating this store besieged by Poles. Of course, it’s easy to be fooled, because everyone can’t resist offers of products at attractive prices. The next step, right after the form, is for the user to complete completing a short survey, which in fact is nothing more than an attempt to extort personal data. Unfortunately, not every promotion will be good for us.

Let’s carefully check the addresses to which advertisements posted on Facebook lead. And although we have the upcoming Black Friday in the back of our minds, and with it a hot sale time, let’s check the prices of the products offered in the brand’s official online store. The North Face products for PLN 9 really look suspicious. Plus free shipping on offer. All this to speed up our decision-making process. Let’s use common sense, especially when shopping. Better to check twice than regret later.
