Have you parked your car and want to pay quickly? It turns out that we may be in for an unpleasant surprise. Especially if we park in parking lots located in Katowice.

It was noticed that fake QR codes appeared on parking meters in Katowice. This is not any convenience for those parking, but a simple scam. The Municipal Streets and Bridges Authority has already reported the case to the police, who will determine who is behind this type of fraud.

Absolutely do not scan such a sticker

Stickers spotted at least twenty parking meters throughout the city. We would like to remind you that in Katowice, in the paid parking zone, we can pay with cash or a payment card at machines located in the parking lot or using a mobile application.

Beware of fake QR codes on parking meters in Katowice. After scanning the QR code, users go to a fake website where fraudsters steal information about payment cards. Remember that using QR codes you can easily mask dangerous links! Be vigilant and don’t get robbed!
