Discord on PS5 will finally work normally
PlayStation has good news for its fans: you will finally be able to use the Discord application on PlayStation 5. The new update will allow you to communicate with friends without having to use a smartphone.
On June 13, PlayStation announced that with a new update PlayStation 5 will receive the integration with the Discord application expected by players. PS5 users will finally be able to connect with friends directly on the console, without having to use their phone. Until now, players could only chat with friends via Discord app on your smartphone or computer.
Discord app will be added to PS5 in the section Game Base, there you will be able to connect with your friends in groups and private conversations. PlayStation reminds you that it is necessary to use Discord on PS5 connecting your PlayStation Network account to your Discord account.
When will the PS5 Discord update arrive?
A new update that will finally bring Discord to PS5 will be made available gradually, over a few weeks after the information is announced. Residents of Japan and Asian countries will be the first to have the opportunity to talk directly through the console, followed by Europe, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, and North and South America.
PlayStation did not provide specific dates share updates. However, the prospect of waiting several weeks for the connection of Discord and PS5 does not seem to be so terrible, especially since Console players have been waiting for this moment for a really long time.
