Cheap Laptops Are Coming, Powered by Snapdragon X

Recently we have gained a new manufacturer of computer processors. The group dominated mainly by AMD and Intel has been joined Qualcomm. Americans known for their efficient SoCs for smartphones envied Apple and decided to release their own systems ARM for laptops.

Cristiano AmonCEO of Qualcomm, announced during the company’s financial results meeting that laptops with Snapdragon X processors will appear on the market from next year at a price of $700 (approximately PLN 2,795). This will allow you to attack the low and mid tier.
This step is supposed to increase the popularity of ARM-based devices, especially among consumers who use their computers mainly for the Internet, movies and series, and office work. In all of them, long operating time is much more important than top performance.
There are currently no details about which manufacturers will offer cheap laptops with Snapdragon X and where the savings will be made. However, standard steps should be assumed – plastic housings; screens with lower resolution and refresh rate, and slightly heavier devices.
