Change in Contacts on Android. You decide what to share

Google has recently been changing a lot of its Android applications. The main changes come down to a slight refresh of the interface and the introduction of the Material 3 Expressive design language. New features also appear from time to time. This is the case with the Contacts application.

The Contacts app version 4.71.82.856460119 has received a key change in the contact sharing feature. Some people may not even realize it, but it allows you to easily share saved information with others. The thing is that so far we have shared all the information saved in a given contact. Now that has changed.

From now on, the Contacts application allows you to choose exactly what you want to share. We can select the following options: contact photo, name, e-mail address, telephone number, address and place of employment, provided that we have all of them saved for a given person. After clicking next, we will be asked again whether this is the information we want to share.

This isn’t a huge change, but it will certainly prove useful in many situations.
