The first season of the series “Interview with the Vampire”, based on the novel by Anne Rice and the adaptation concept of Rolin Jones, has just been added to Canal+’s offer. The series is nothing if not contemporary reinterpretation a classic story that deals with themes of immortality, guilt and moral ambivalence typical of Rice’s prose. The series already has two seasons, but Polish viewers had to wait for it.
The fact that we like vampires is proven by the huge success of “Interview with the Vampire” from 1994, with the iconic roles of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. The series once again combines darkness with psychological depth and current social topics.
“Interview with the Vampire” – series. What is he talking about?
The series focuses on the fate of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacon Andersen). He tells about his experiences and experiences to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). The action takes us to New Orleans at the beginning of the 20th century, where Louis, struggling with the limitations related to his skin color, succumbs to the tempting offer of turning into a vampire. Although the decision seems to be the right one, the new powers turn out to come at a high price, as the main character will quickly discover. Bailey Bass will play the role of Claudia’s protégé.
