Now everything seems to indicate that it will also surpass such renowned global manufacturers of classic cars as Honda and Ford.

BYD’s ambitious goal for this year was to sell 4 million cars. In the first 11 months, the company has already managed to sell 3.76 million cars. Just over half a million cars were sold in November alone.

The company is doing very well on the domestic market. With a 16.2% share of sales in China, it is the leader, overtaking the Volkswagen group (14.2% market share).

If BYD manages to maintain such dynamic growth next year may pose a real threat to such automotive giants as General Motors or Stellantis. For this to happen, the Chinese giant would have to maintain sales of around half a million cars per month, thereby achieving the annual target of 6 million cars sold.

The dynamic growth in sales is also accompanied by growing employment. The company hired its millionth employee in September. And this is certainly not the end of development, because further factories are already under construction, including in Turkey and Hungary.
