Blizzard finally noticed Polish players? We’ve waited a long time
World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo – all these titles are the result of gaming work under the Activision Blizzard banner. Now, Polish fans of games from the famous “Blizzard” are to be more noticed. I would like to add: finally.

Activision Blizzard, which has not had much success in recent years, has long had a rather specific policy towards Polish players. Games such as Call of Duty or Diablo are examples of titles that we can play in our native language. But the gaming giant’s largest product, World of Warcraft, has not yet been translated into Polish and there is no sign of it yet. However, the company decided on a slightly different interesting thing, which is to be a nod to the fans. Although in the end it’s all about money.
Cold reception to the news?
And I mean that very literally. The company intends to change the current currency in which purchases in the Battle.net store were settled. Wisła players will now switch from euro to Polish zloty. Or at least they should, if the announcement sent to people with Battle.net accounts comes true. The whole thing is written in a rather vague language. We can read there that the currency change will take place no earlier than January 12 (at least 30 days from sending the message). And that the money transferred to the account so far will be converted into Polish zloty.
What are the reasons for the change? Blizzard declares that this is to help make payments and reduce or even eliminate fees for foreign currency transactions. As the company points out, this is the result of a constant search for new ways to make it easier for players from around the world to make purchases and manage their Battle.net accounts. Considering how late and uncertain this decision is (a similar one was made about a year ago), there is no reason to be surprised at the nomen omen coldness of Polish players towards Blizzard.
