BLIK reveals the secret. It amounts to over PLN 250 billion

BLIK has enjoyed unflagging popularity for many years. This is a big understatement, because every year the Polish payment system is used more and more often by the inhabitants of our country. Data for 2023 only confirm this.

Throughout 2023, BLIK users completed almost 1.8 billion transactions worth nearly PLN 250 billion. For comparison, a year earlier there were 1.2 billion operations with a total value of PLN 163.9 billion, so significant progress can be seen here. Since the beginning of the payment system’s operation, we can talk about 4.5 billion transactions worth as much as PLN 614.4 billion.

On average, this gives approximately 4.8 million BLIK operations per day. November 10, 2023 was a record day in this respect, when there were as many as 8.2 million transactions of this type. The average value of one operation is PLN 138.

BLIK has become an integral part of the lives of many Poles, simplifying their everyday lives and making settlements efficient and intuitive. This is reflected in the numbers – since the system was introduced, over 4.5 billion transactions have been carried out through it, of which nearly 40 percent it took place last year. Moreover, at the end of the year, 15.8 million active users used BLIK services. Only in the fourth quarter this group was expanded by one million new people.

BLIK transfers to the phone are also very popular. Last year there were as many as 415 million of them, which is an increase of 71%. Every year. This is the second most frequently used BLIK service. At the end of December 2023, as many as 15.8 million people regularly used the payment system.
