Big deal in online payments market. Giant grows stronger

Payment giant Stripe has decided to acquire online payment competitor Lemon Squeeze. The value of the transaction has been kept a secret. But we can expect some news.

Lemon Squeeze has been on the market for four years. The company specializes in calculating fees and taxes for digital product purchases and handles the payment process in most countries around the world.

Welcome to Lemon Squeeze. We are looking to significantly expand our support for registered products. Lemon Squeeze has built a great tool for registered sales, so we are very excited to be able to offer new services to our customers together.

– wrote Stripe CEO Patrick Collison in a statement on the X platform.

Since our founding in 2021, we have received numerous acquisition or investment offers. However, regardless of the size of those offers, we knew we had built an exceptional product and needed an exceptional partner to continue to develop it. We are proud to have found such a partner in Stripe.

– said Lemon Squeezy CEO JR Farr on the agreement.

Stripe is growing stronger

The Lemon Squeezy acquisition isn’t Stripe’s first this year. In March, the payments giant brought in a team from the company Supaglue. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed here either. Supaglue is a company that created an open source platform for integrating technology with the user interface. In turn, last year, Stripe acquired Okay. A company that has created an analytical system that helps in checking the results of individual departments in a given company.
