mBank has just informed its customers that it plans to implement a number of changes to its services in the near future. Some of them will enter into force this year, the rest in January and February 2025. The changes will cover various bank products: accounts, ATMs and a loyalty program. Here’s what customers should prepare for in the near future.
mOkazje at mBank
From December 2, mOkazje shopping will appear in the mobile application. This is nothing more than an extension of the loyalty program, i.e. the possibility of ordering products from Morele.net. mOkazja also involves the introduction of deferred payments “mBank pay later”. You will be able to pay for your purchases within 30 days.
We will start making mOkazje shopping available from December 2, 2024, and from December 12, 2024, all mBank customers will be able to use this function.
– we read in an e-mail from mBank.
No more personal account at mBank
On January 15, mBank will withdraw the eKonto personal account from its offer. Its users will still be able to use it under the old rules, but it will no longer be available to new customers.
From January 15, 2025, we will stop offering personal eKonto.
Therefore, if you have:
- eAccount of Opportunities – we will change it into an eAccount for services when you turn 25 (or when the younger co-holder turns 25),
- eKonto Junior – we will change it into an eKonto for services when the child turns 13.
My Goals account policy changes
This is not the end of the changes. mBank is also modifying the rules for using the Moje Cele savings account. Now you can make transfers and withdrawals directly from this account. Soon, however, such operations will be possible only through a personal account linked to My Goals.
Changes in the use of ATMs
These changes concern the use of ATMs in emergency situations. Currently, if there is no cash deposit machine at the branch or it is broken, mBank does not charge fees for withdrawing funds. From January 15, this rule will be extended to include cash withdrawals.
The authorization lock will be longer
We can also expect changes regarding blocking funds on the account related to card payments. The blockade will be maintained for 30 days, instead of 14 days as before. This change is related to the requirements of payment regulations.
From February 20, 2025, when you pay by card, we will extend the duration of the authorization block to 30 days.
