Audi presented its new electric SUV. The Q6 e-Tron model impresses with its performance, but the price can also put you off your feet.
The Audi Q6 e-Tron is a car based on the PPE platform, created in cooperation with Porsche. According to the manufacturer, it is fully scalable and will ultimately be used to build cars from various segments. The first car built on it was the Porsche Macan. Now a new Audi SUV joins this group.
Audi Q6 e-Tron
The Audi Q6 e-Tron is 4.77 m long, has a wheelbase of almost 2.9 m and has a trunk capacity of 520 liters. It is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh. The structure consists of 12 modules and 180 prismatic cells, so it is to be noticeably lighter than previous solutions. Reception? Up to 625 km on a single charge. Among other things, the energy recovery system during braking helps to achieve this range.
The car uses an 800-volt charging system that can replenish energy with a power of up to 270 kW. Thanks to this, according to Audi, charging the battery from 5 to 80 percent will take only 21 minutes. If the charger has a lower power, it will be possible to divide the battery into two energy storage units and charge in the 400 V mode.
Two versions of the car will be available for sale. The basic one is the Audi Q6 e-Tron with 375 HP. The more powerful version is the Audi SQ6 e-Tron, which has a power of 510 HP. The maximum speed is 210 and 230 km/h, respectively, while acceleration to 100 km/h takes the car 5.9 and 4.3 seconds.
The interior includes, among others, an 11.9-inch digital clock screen and a 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen, which are connected to each other. There is also a 10.9-inch screen for the passenger, which can be used both for entertainment and to support the driver while driving (e.g. by setting navigation). There is also support for Android Automotive and Apple Car Play.
And the price? Spore. Prices for the Audi Q6 e-Tron start from PLN 74,700. euro. However, for the more powerful Audi SQ6 e-Tron model we will pay at least PLN 93.8 thousand. euro.
