If you were thinking about buying an OLED monitor but were worried about its durability, we have good news. Two leading manufacturers have just extended their warranties.
Technology OLED in TVs, computer monitors and laptop screens is described as a real breakthrough. All thanks to great colors, deep blacks, high contrast and low response time. However, there are two problems – high price and burning matrices.
ASUS and MSI extend warranties against matrix burn-in
Monitor manufacturers are working hard to develop technologies to delay or eliminate this phenomenon. And it looks like Taiwanese companies are on the right track. ASUS and MSI they started bantering like children, a consumers will benefit most from this buying their equipment.
It was noted that ASUS yesterday quietly extended the warranty on its OLED monitors, offering 2 years of burn protection. MSI, wanting to be “better”, announced a day later that in the case of their monitors you can count on up to three years warranty. This applies to the following models:
- MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED
- MSI MAG 321UPX QD-OLED
- MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED
- MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED
- MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED
- MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED
- MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED
In the case of monitors with the dragon logo, the user gets MSI OLED Care 2.0 matrix care technology. It works similarly to solutions from other manufacturers – pixel shifting, luminance adjustment, pixel refreshing, etc. In the case of a static image and inactivity, the monitor reduces the brightness of the entire image.
We always like to share this type of positive news. Now all that remains is to wait for the reaction of other manufacturers and extended burn-in warranty for Samsung, LG, GIGABYTE and others.
