Many players are impatiently waiting for the release of GTA 6. It is scheduled for 2025, but the latest reports are not very optimistic in this regard.
After years of long waiting, at the end of 2023, Rockstar Games finally officially revealed that work on GTA 6 is underway. The creators even showed a trailer that broke all popularity records. Additionally, they announced that the game will debut in 2025. But are you sure? The chances of this happening are getting smaller and smaller.
GTA 6 release delayed
Yes, Rockstar Games wants to release GTA 6 in 2025, but willingness and possibility are one thing. The problem is that the game's production is apparently severely delayed. Work is not going according to plan and it may be necessary to delay the premiere. At the moment, the talk is about the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026. A later date is supposed to be only an emergency version at the moment, but nothing can be ruled out.
Due to concerns about delays, Rockstar Games has reportedly ordered all employees to return to their offices. In this way, the company wants to ensure the highest possible quality and improve safety, i.e. protect itself against further leaks. In turn, employees fear that this means the so-called crunch, i.e. working 80 hours a week, like before the premiere of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
GTA 6 is initially scheduled to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will probably be released on PCs after some time.
