Are Intel graphics cards good for gaming? Yes!
Intel offers cheaper graphics cards than AMD or NVIDIA. But are they worth considering? What is the current performance and stability of work? We know the answer.
In the desktop graphics card market, we have three major manufacturers – AMD, NVIDIA and Intel. The last of the mentioned companies has the least experience, as it joined the game only in 2022 thanks to the family ARC Alchemist.
Stability and performance are already very good
The beginnings of the Blues’ arrangements were bumpy. Availability in stores was low, and the next models had to wait a long time, and the drivers turned out to be very unfinished. However, the Americans listened to the opinions of reviewers and consumers and got to work. And what does the situation look like now, in mid-2024?
Hardware Unboxed took on this difficult task and tested the flagship chip Intel ARC A770 in as many as 250 different titles. The tests were performed on the latest drivers marked “32.0.10.5762“. Conclusions? Intel graphics cards are currently performing very wellespecially considering their prices.

As many as 93% (233) of tested games work perfectly and provide good FPS5% (12) of the production is unplayable – either due to performance or launch issues. Only 2% (4) of the production was found to be unsupported – Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Sim City 4, Left 4 Dead 2, Saints Row 2.

It is also worth noting that the vast majority of games were run on “High”, “Very High” or “Ultra” settings.although some additionally used image scaling technology. Literally a handful of games required lowering the settings to “Medium” or “Low”.
This is good news about Intel drivers because Americans are slowly preparing for the premiere of the next generation – ARC Battlemage. It is supposed to be much more efficient, and we will get a taste of the possibilities soon. All thanks to mobile processors Lunar Lakewhose iGPU will use the same architecture.
