Apple invites you to the event. We know what it can show
An unusual form of premiere
Apple has confirmed the date of its first event this year. It will take place on March 4 under the slogan “Special Apple Experience”. Journalists were invited to meetings in New York, London and Shanghai. The US part will start at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time, i.e. 3:00 p.m. Polish time.
The form of the invitation suggests a departure from the typical live conference. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg indicates that these will rather be media meetings combined with equipment presentations. In this way, Apple wants to divert attention from the competition, because Samsung plans to premiere the Galaxy S26 series just a week earlier.
New and cheap iPhone 17e
The main point of the program is supposedly to be the iPhone 17e. The successor to the 16e model will probably receive the Apple A19 chip. The leaks talk about a 6.1-inch screen with the Dynamic Island function. On the front there will be the same 18-megapixel camera that will go to the more expensive iPhone 17 series.
On the back of the device, the manufacturer will place a single camera with a resolution of 48 Mpix. The smartphone will support MagSafe technology and use the new C1X modem. The starting price in the USA will probably be $599 (approx. PLN 2,130).
MacBook at the price of a smartphone
Reports about a completely new laptop arouse a lot of excitement. Apple plans to introduce a basic MacBook priced below $1,000 (approx. PLN 3,550). The equipment will not receive an M series processor, but the A18 Pro system known from the iPhone.
The computer will retain its aluminum casing and high-quality workmanship. It will be available in many color variants. This is supposed to be a response to cheap Windows laptops, which are often made of plastic. The screen will have a diagonal of 13 inches.
M5 processor offensive
The list of new products for March is much longer. The MacBook Air line is expected to be refreshed with M5 chips. The offer will also include MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max systems. Professional users can count on new monitors.
The changes will also affect tablets. iPad Air will receive an M4 processor, and the basic iPad will be updated with an A18 chip. All these devices are scheduled to go on sale in the first half of 2026.
The above information should be treated as rumor. We will find out what Apple will actually show in just over 2 weeks.
