Apple fell victim to hackers. We know who is behind this
Apple in trouble? Cybercriminals targeted Americans’ servers and gained access to three internal tools of the technology giant.
It seems that June is not only the beginning of the holidays, but also… the perfect moment for cybercriminals. Just a moment ago we informed you about a hacker’s break-in of a giant in the processor and graphics card market, the company AMDand now a real giant has apparently fallen victim – Apple.
Apple users are not at risk
The same person (or group of people) hiding under a pseudonym is behind both events “IntelBroker”. He is known in the industry due to his previous “achievements” – including: he hacked into many US federal agencies and Europol and infiltrated the network of Los Angeles International Airport.
According to a post on BreachForum, v three tools used by Apple fell into the hands of burglars. We’re talking about the source code AppleConnect-SSO, Apple-HWE-Confluence-Advanced and AppleMacroPlugin. These are solutions for internal needs, including: for authorization and exchange of information.
So far, Apple has not commented on the matter. Theoretically, hacking should not be taken for granted, but this is more than likely with the reputation of IntelBroker. The stolen information is for sale on the dark web.
Fortunately, Apple users can sleep peacefully – the hacker attack does not threaten them at all. However, if the hack is confirmed, it will mainly jeopardize the image of Apple, which prides itself on its security and care for the privacy of customer data.
