Maybe the AMD Zen 5 processors in their standard version were not a great success, but their version with 3D V-Cache memory is a real hit. Ryzen 7 9800X3D is currently the best system for gamers. No wonder Lisa Su and company are already working on new models that should satisfy users.
When will AMD Zen 6 processors be released?
The latest information shows that the next generation of AMD processors, using the Zen 6 architecture, will hit the market either at the end of 2026 or at the beginning of 2027. This news was reported by Kepler, well-known in the industry, who is considered a reliable informant.
Moreover, AMD Zen 6 processors are 99 percent will use the current platform, including the AM5 socket. The Reds have already assured that it will be supported until 2027, so the next generation of systems should be supported. At the same time, these will probably be the last processors that will not require replacing motherboards. The next generation, Zen 7, will probably use the new socket.
For comparison, users don’t know what the situation is with Intel. Motherboards with the LGA1851 socket debuted with Arrow Lake processors. Will this be supported in the next generation? This is not known. Intel has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
