AMD Ryzen 9000. Suggested prices in Europe revealed
AMD Ryzen 9000 processors have already appeared in pre-release stores in Europe. We’ve learned their prices and there’s no point beating around the bush – it’s quite expensive.
The premiere of the family is fast approaching AMD Ryzen 9000which was planned for July 31, 2024. The new processors are expected to offer a significant leap in performance in games and programs and lower temperatures. All thanks to AMD Zen5 architecture and newer lithography from TSMC.
AMD Ryzen 9000 series will start at around PLN 1,800
At the start we will see four different models – AMD Ryzen 9 9950X (16 cores, 32 threads), Ryzen 9 9900X (12 cores, 24 threads), Ryzen 7 9700X (8 cores, 16 threads) and Ryzen 5 9600X (6 cores, 12 threads). All of them will continue to use AMD’s AM5 socket, so there will be no need to change motherboards.
And it so happens that the French store PC21.fr has revealed the pre-release prices of three of the four systems. Despite earlier rumors it is more expensive than the Ryzen 7000 series models. The exact prices are as follows and include the local VAT of 20%:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – 681 euros, or about 2915 PLN
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X – 545 euros, or about 2335 PLN
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X – 421 euros, or about 1805 zlotys
If these amounts turn out to be true, then many people will stay with the older generation. After all, the AMD Ryzen 5 8500G can be purchased in Poland for PLN 659, and the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 for PLN 829. It should be emphasized, however, that the Slovenian store Funtech offered lower prices Ryzen 9000 series pre-order.
Of course, it is worth waiting until the premiere to draw final conclusions. In less than a week we will know not only the official prices, but also the performance. If the jump is big, some people will be willing to pay for it. Especially since, compared to Intel, you don’t have to buy a new motherboard.
