AMD presents a new monster. Players will be happy
Good news for both AMD fans and people building a new computer. The extremely efficient AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D will soon be available in stores.
In August this year, processors debuted on the market AMD Ryzen 9000who introduced new architecture under their roofs – AMD Zen5. However, they did not attract much attention as the performance improvement turned out to be small. So many people were waiting for the models AMD Ryzen 9000X3D.
The store premiere is scheduled for November 7
Additional, large and fast cache 3D V-Cache is a solution that significantly improves gaming performance. Fortunately, this is the end of rumors, leaks and guesses. The Reds officially present the first and cheapest model, i.e AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a processor 8-core and 16-threadwhich works with a base clock of 4.7 GHz and up to 5.2 GHz in boost mode. We have it here unlocked multiplierso access to overclocking. The system is based on connection 4nm and 6nm lithography from TSMCand declared TDP is 120W.
Compared to the older AMD Ryzen 7800X3D model, we can count on an average performance increase of 8%. Of course, it all depends on the specific title. For example, in Cyberpunk 2077 and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora the difference is only 1-2%, but in Far Cry 6 and Hogwarts Legacy you can count on 25-26% more FPS.
It definitely looks better when compared to the Intel Arrow Lake-S familywhich, like the Ryzen 9000 series, disappointed gamers. Here it is more efficient by an average of 20%. Again, however, a lot depends on what we play. Black Myth: Wukong is a difference in the level of measurement error, but Cyberpunk 2077 is a 59% jump.
The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D will go on sale next week, to be precise November 7. The suggested price is USD 479, which in Poland should translate into: approximately PLN 2,369. The Americans confirmed full compatibility with existing motherboards with the AMD AM5 socketso there is no need to replace them.
