In just a month and a half, one of the two biggest events for fans of new technologies will start. We are, of course, talking about fairs CES 2025which will take place in the United States in early January. That’s where giants like AMD, Intel Whether NVIDIA will present their new products.
AMD Kraken Point laptops are supposed to be cheap
Fortunately for us, some of the information is already available. In the test program results database Geekbench there was an entry regarding the company’s laptop ASUS. It wouldn’t be so interesting if it weren’t for the processor powering it. We are talking about a family representative AMD Kraken Pointwhich will be part of the series Ryzen AI 300.
The CPU under review was an engineering sample equipped with 6 cores and 12 threads with a base clock of 2 GHz i up to 4 GHz in boost mode. So we’re talking about a model AMD Ryzen AI 5 340. It is worth emphasizing that it is a combination of 3 efficient cores (Zen5) and 3 energy-saving ones (Zen5c). This is complemented by the graphic layout Radeon 840M (4 CU).

There is no need to focus on the performance itself in Geekbench – the test concerned AI tasks, and Kraken Point has the already familiar NPU system in the form of XDNA2which is available as part of the AMD Strix Point series.
The Reds have already confirmed that new processors are planned for early 2025. The appearance of results in the Geekbench database suggests that partners are ready for launch and availability in stores will be good. Of course, as always, prices will be decisive, but Kraken Point laptops are to be “affordable”.
